Good 'fast food' in the old town

It was getting late when we headed for Bella Italia having had it recommended by friends earlier that day. The queue at the door almost put us off, but it moved very quickly and we were soon seated. It is cosy inside - even a little cramped - but we were comfortable enough. Food is served quickly but the quality was very good and we were hungry so that was OK. We had standard classic pizza and pasta dishes, all well executed. Prices are reasonable which explains the queue at the door!... Read more...

This is a reasonable chain of Italien Restaurants which I came across in Edinburgh. This Branch in Northbridge in the Old Town was small but cosy and when we visited early on a Friday evening we did well to get a table. Early Bird menu was small but staff were friendly and the wine was very reasonable, the Irish could learn a lot. Definitely worth a visit if your looking for a cheap and cheerful restaurant with a nice atmosphere.... Read more...
