For just three pounds you can enter the Scott Monument to the great Scottish writer Sir Walter Scot. His statue lies below the monument in the Princes St Gardens in the heart of the city. There are almost 300 steps to reach the top which can only accomodate a handful of people! The views are incredible, especially on a clear day you can view far and wide.
