This is a brilliant way of getting round to see the sights of London. The bus was open-topped, but shelter is provided by a glass partition at the front. Sometimes there is a person doing the commentry over a microphone and on some of the buses you have headphones and listen in to a recording as you're driven round the hot-spots. Its very informative and it included a free cruise down the Thames which was fun. The ticket cost £27, but for that you also got a voucher booklet with discounts... Read more...

Now this is the way to travel. If you are heading to London and want to see the sights this is the only way to go. I bought a twenty four hour bus pass, you can buy them of vendors on the street anywhere, you will spot them. You can get off and on the bus as often as you like wherever you want. They give you headphones and you can listen in as to where you are going. They also give a map. This was the best tour I ever went on.... Read more...

great way to get around for your first visit to london as it helps orientate yourself.good value and the hop on hop off is a great idea. the guides are fun and very knowledgeable and make it a great experience considering they do it all day every day.if you return , then at least this will have given you a taste of the city and you will have your bearings.the passes can be bought over a two or three day period also if you dont get to see enough in the one day.... The Big Bus Company is probably the best way to travel around London city for a tourist. You get to hear all sorts of interesting facts and information while sitting down and relaxing. You can buy a 24 hour ticket and get off and on the bus as often as you like. The price includes a cruise up tht Thames also. They will provide you get rain ponchos too which is fantastic. The Big Bus Tour is the only way to get about the city, if you ask me. You buy a hop-on hop-off ticket and it lasts twenty four hours. It is brillant. You can get out wherever you feel like it, and stay as long as you like. You do not have to get off the bus at all if you do not wish to. The guides on the bus were brillant. Some buses use headphones. Either way it is a wonderful way of getting the lowdown on London. They also supply rain ponchos.... Read more...
