If I ever go to Harrods, I know that I need to give myself at least a few hours - if necessary I could quite happily spend days in here. It's an experience more than just a shop. While they certainly have plenty for people with very deep pockets - there is also more than enough that could be bought without breaking the bank. The cafe is fantastic - excellent service and a wonderful place for lunch or afternoon tea - well worth the money.
The food hall is the best one I've ever seen, although I wouldn't be doing my weekly grocery shopping in here!
