Fascinating Insight into British Royalty

(31 August 2011)

by: Nigel 5 out of 5

Definitely a 'must do' when in Edinburgh- the Yacht (really a small Ocean liner ) is dry docked in Leith as a museum , a short bus ride from Edinburgh centre. The Queen's bedroom cabin is testament to her modesty as it is fairly spartan , as is that of Prince Philip.Reception areas on the ship are luxurious and spacious , and every luxury was afforded to royals and guests on board. Officers lived well . Ships ratings and Marines quarters were very cramped.

Tour of the ship is very well organised , with audio headphones .All in all-a fascinating experience, and a 'must do' when in Edinburgh.

Nigel would recommend. Nigel would use again.
